Purpose: The goal of this 36-month project is to empower abused women and their children during the family law process and to improve their safety post-separation as they navigate the court system. The project has four main activities: to develop a gender-based analysis framework of the Family Law system in Ontario; to develop tools and provide training to women on how to navigate and understand the justice system; to equip service providers with the gender based analysis framework; and, to improve service providers’ delivery approach to their clients involved in the court system.
