Purpose: This 36-month project will address a range of institutional barriers and other factors that limit community efforts to advance the economic security and prosperity of women living in St. Thomas and in Elgin County. The project will work at the municipal level to identify the economic profiles of eight municipalities and then hold meetings, focus groups, roundtables and survey with women and stakeholders in each of the municipalities to identify their priorities, and identify potential strategies. Community outreach will keep local women informed of progress on the plan and its implementation.
