Purpose: This 36 month project will assist communities in achieving zero tolerance of violence against women and girls. The organization will develop a strategy to inform women and communities about the issue of gender-based violence, including honour crimes, and legislation concerning crimes against persons and violence against women in Canada. The organization will provide training to liaison workers from cultural communities in order to provide information, identify at-risk situations and identify sources of assistance for victims.
