Purpose: This 24 month project will work to increase the economic participation of at-risk girls and young women between the ages of 16 and 24 in the Colonial Terrace neighbourhood within the City of Mississauga. Girls and young women will create an advisory committee with various partners to identify the barriers they face and determine strategies to improve their economic condition. Girls and young women will develop various initiatives in order to implement the strategies they have identified in order to bring about positive change.
