Purpose: This 24 month project will work to address barriers to economic prosperity facing English-speaking girls and young women under the age of 25 who are attending high schools and post-secondary institutions in the Montréal area. Participants will identify the factors leading to gender imbalance in economic participation and strategies to overcome these factors. They will then lead, produce and promote community-based projects using video to spark dialogue on the issues. With the assistance of mentors and new media experts, an all-girl team will document and publicize existing resources and tools.
