Purpose: This 24-month project will engage community members, ethno-cultural agencies and service providers to identify and develop strategies for addressing violence committed in the name of so-called “honour” in Scarborough, ON. An advisory committee will be established to identify barriers and potential strategies to address the issue. Women, girls and a number of stakeholders such as women’s and other community organizations, local and regional governments, and legal and law enforcement agencies will be engaged in developing collaborative strategies to address honour-related violence in the Scarborough area.
