| Purpose: | This 24 month project will work to increase rural women’s economic opportunities in Huron County and surrounding areas. In collaboration with local women and stakeholders such as farming and economic development organizations, a community assessment will be undertaken to reveal the barriers and needs of women, with a focus on assets, including new and existing opportunities in the community. The project will further engage a wider set of community members and stakeholders through various activities, who will contribute to identifying promising practices and developing strategies to address the issue. A community plan to mobilize community assets and resources will be developed in order to enhance economic options for women in the area. |
