Purpose: This 24-month project will enhance collaboration between community agencies and service providers in northwestern New Brunswick to better prevent sexual violence against women. The project will identify barriers that limit the ability of service providers to respond to the needs of women victims of sexual violence. A strategy for collaboration between community partners will be developed, best practices to address barriers will be identified and implemented. This partnership will allow project partners to increase their knowledge of prevention and intervention services, and coordinate their efforts through a service protocol in order to improve support services for women.
