Disclosure of Grant and Contribution Awards

Recipient Name: CALACS de l’Ouest-de-l’Île
Location: Dollard-des-Ormeaux, Quebec
Date: 2014-03-05
Value: $159,177.00
Type: Grant
Purpose: This 24-month project will enhance collaboration between community service providers in Montreal’s West Island in order to better prevent sexual violence against women. The project will identify the institutional barriers that limit the ability of service providers to address the specific needs of English- and French-speaking women in the region. Through the creation of a multi-sector roundtable, a strategy for collaboration between stakeholders and community partners will be developed, and best practices will be implemented and tested. This partnership will allow stakeholders to increase their knowledge of prevention and intervention services, and coordinate their efforts through a formal protocol in order to improve support services for women.
