Purpose: This 24-month project will address institutional barriers that limit the ability of community service providers to respond to sexual violence against women and girls in Renfrew County. Through the project, women and girls affected by sexual violence will work with local agencies to identify gaps and promising practices in current service responses. The project will build collaboration between rural service providers to better respond to the needs of women and girls through the implementation of promising practices to address this form of violence. Local stakeholders will be engaged through a collaborative service protocol to coordinate implementation efforts to improve access to services and supports for rural women and girls.
