Recipient Name: Chambre de commerce de Gatineau
Location: Gatineau, Quebec
Date: 2014-09-09
Value: $208,777.00
Type: Grant
Purpose: This 30-month project will develop a sustainable mentoring model to reduce barriers to the advancement of women entrepreneurs in the City of Gatineau. The project will build partnerships between key stakeholders and women to adapt an existing mentorship model currently being used by the Chambre de commerce de Gatineau, to better respond to the needs of women entrepreneurs. Following the piloting of the adapted model, it will be shared provincially through a partnership with the Fondation de l’entrepreneurship, a network for entrepreneurs operating in all regions of Quebec. A train-the-trainer workshop on the new model will ensure that mentors within the Foundation’s mentoring program are equipped to integrate the needs of women entrepreneurs into their work.
