| Purpose: | This 36-month project will engage key stakeholders in the construction industry to develop and implement strategies to increase industry readiness and the capacity of the industry to recruit and retain women. In collaboration with industry partners, the project will develop and implement tools and resources to assist employers in creating fair, equitable, safe and respectful work environments. These will include an online employer self-assessment tool, “zero tolerance” policies that will be implemented with specific company adaptations as required and an online diversity training course for workers and supervisors. These tools and resources will be shared through industry partners and the organization’s network of stakeholders as well as social media. |
