Monique Leroux: Canadian Pioneer

What helped me a lot, personally,
was obviously to have been able to have a family life which
anchored me, and later on to be able to learn from people who
helped me to develop myself.
I think the most beautiful thing you can do for someone is to put
trust in that person, to tell them, you can reach your goal,
you can accomplish this task, and later on that person will be
capable to take that trust and spread it around to others.
In cross-country skiing, for the first skier,
to trace the path is sometimes a bit more difficult,
but you have the satisfaction later on to see many others
follow that path, and that is extremely stimulating.
