Purpose: | Since 1999, CRTA has worked with mothers facing poverty and other forms of exclusion to find ways to offset barriers to their participation in the montreal school system. As a result of this work, Parents in Action for Education (PAE) was created to assist these women in participating in the decision making process in the policies of the school board, which directly affect their children. As part of this initiative, the goal of PAE is to help give these women a voice, and to ensure that their point of view is reflected in the policies of the Montreal school boards. |
