Purpose: | This Quebec-wide project is expected to reach a total of 400 women. Its purpose is to implement a training program on work-family balance, womens rights in that area and strategies to develop. The training will be given to women entering the workforce, especially immigrants and those living outside the major urban centres, and to employability group instructors who will then pass on the knowledge. In an initial phase, CIAFT will offer 25 classes with room for a total of 300 women and 100 instructors; the instructors will then train 4,800 additional women in their own regions. CIAFT is a pillar of the community and a leading partner for womens access to the labour market; its membership includes 50 groups and 45 individuals. |
