Purpose: Through training in leadership and facilitation, a team of 45 young women will be enabled to provide training to another 350 young women and teachers in New Brunswick’s 11 Francophone high schools on the themes of: political commitment, multicultural integration, activity organization, financial education, safety, discrimination and civic involvement. A second phase of the project will see 1,310 girls between 13 and 17 years of age participating in six focus groups to determine their needs, explain their points of view and outline the contents of theoretical and practical skill sessions in specific youth, community, education and governance sectors. The young high school students who will form the Anim’action team, will as a result be better equipped to get actively involved in the democratic, social and economic life of the province.
Comments: Multi-year project of 36 months.
