Purpose: Women between 20 and 60 years of age will take part in this project, whose objective is to: 1) recruit 45 poor women to help them develop sales consultant knowledge and skills through training and internships that will prepare them to find work directly or through Emploi Québec; and 2) develop training tools that the 45 participants will be able to use in their job search. Professionals and volunteers from Fripe.com will offer 36 training sessions and theme-specific workshops (the role of sales consultant, workplace internships, how to better integrate into Quebec and Canadian society, and how to use a checklist) to groups of 15 women. The project will serve the following three major Quebec City boroughs: Limoilou, Sainte-Foy/Sillery/Cap-Rouge and Des Rivières.
