Purpose: This 36-month project targets young women in the rural areas of Indian Island First Nation and Campobello Island. Two separate youth-led community plans will be developed and implemented to reduce violence against women. Youth will be engaged in order to understand and integrate their cultural identites, increase their community engagement, establish effective partnerships, and raise awareness in addressing violence against women and girls in their communities. Partners for Youth will also collaborate with schools, communities, and service providers to coordinate this community reponse to gender-based violence.
