Purpose: This 26-month project will bring together the Universities of Waterloo and Sir Wilfred Laurier, and the communities of Waterloo and Kitchener to address the issue of violence against women on campus. Consultations with key university and community stakeholders will be held. A gender-based analysis of the two universities current policies, procedures, and practices to address violence against women will be conducted. Based on the findings, plans and recommendations will be developed and implemented to address the issues and concerns identified. The project results will be shared with other post-secondary institutions.
