| Purpose: | This 24 month project will address the specific barriers facing girls and young women aged 14 to 25 from low-income and ethnically diverse communities in Montréal in participating in civic, political and community life. In partnership with community organizations, young women will be trained to lead and engage girls and stakeholders to develop community action plans that are responsive to the needs of economically marginalized and immigrant young women. Participants will then implement priority actions in their respective communities in partnership with local stakeholders. |
