Purpose: | This 24-month project will identify and respond to the specific barriers that young First Nations women in Lil'wat (Mount Currie) and the N'quatqua (DArcy), BC face in participating in civic, political and community life. In partnership with stakeholders, participants will implement solutions and strategies for addressing womens underrepresentation in leadership roles. Young women will participate in activities to increase their leadership skills to prepare them to deliver community-based girl-led projects to address the barriers identified in the project. |
