Disclosure of Grant and Contribution Awards
|Recipient Name:||Centre social daide aux immigrants|
|Purpose:||This 24-month project will address violence in the name of so-called "honour" in five diverse ethno-cultural communities in Montreal. A needs assessment will inform the selection of promising practices and the development of a local strategy focused on prevention and action to address the issue. An expert committee will be established to implement the strategy, as well as provide advice and guidance in the development of recommendations, and in establishing protocols to ensure women and girls who are at risk of, or have experienced, violence in the name of so-called "honour" have access to appropriate services.|
