Purpose: This 36-month project will engage key stakeholders to advance young professional women in the bio-economy sector in Vancouver, Toronto, Charlottetown and Montreal. Through the project, a needs assessment will identify key challenges women face when integrating into the bio-economy sector, particularly institutional gaps, as well as available supports. Local networks will be developed which will allow women and stakeholders to work in partnership in the development of sector action plans. Strategies to be implemented as part of these local plans could include reviews of human resources policies and mentoring.
