Purpose: This 24-month project will increase the economic prosperity of Francophone immigrant women in Ottawa, Ontario. A gender-based analysis will be used to examine the needs and barriers facing immigrant women in the area. Local partners such as employers, financial institutions, women's organizations, and post-secondary institutions will work together to review promising practices and develop strategies to address barriers that limit the capacity of organizations to respond to immigrant women’s economic needs. Project results, including best practices, will be shared with similar organizations in Ontario.
