Purpose: This 24-month project will enhance the economic prosperity of rural immigrant women in Northumberland County, Ontario. Stakeholders will coordinate their efforts to address the specific economic needs of immigrant women. Women across the County, community members, local champions, agencies and private businesses will be involved in identifying needs and promising practices that meet the needs of immigrant women in the community. Local women and partners will review policies, programs, services and decision-making processes at the community level. A community action plan for immigrant women will be developed to address the challenges hindering immigrant women's economic prosperity.
