| Purpose: | The 24 month project will focus on increasing opportunities for the development and participation of northern women-owned businesses as suppliers to the mining sector in northern Ontario. It will build on existing industry partnerships within the mining industry, as well as private and public sectors to increase opportunities for women on the supply side of the mining industry. Women entrepreneurs with a record of successful engagement with the northern mining sector and regional industry purchasers will help design a sector-wide plan, including procurement strategies to link women-owned business to the sector. |
