Disclosure of Grant and Contribution Awards
|Recipient Name:||The Hamilton Young Womens Christian Association|
|Purpose:||This 36-month project will focus on the recruitment and retention of women in the construction and manufacturing industries in Hamilton, Ontario. It will engage women apprentices, industry partners from the region, training institutions, and other community groups to assess the barriers and needs of women. To support the development of a sector-specific action plan, existing tools and practices for recruiting and retaining female employees in non-traditional employment will be examined. The sector action plan will reflect the needs of women in the field and the interests of employers, as well as identify how other sector stakeholders will assist employers in implementing key elements of the plan.|
