Purpose: This 24-month project will address institutional barriers that limit the capacity of community organizations to respond to immigrant women’s economic needs in Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean. Through a strategic collaboration with the Service Externe de Main-d’œuvre du Saguenay, the project will consolidate existing partnerships and create new ones with organizations and other community stakeholders in order to better identify the economic needs of immigrant women in the region. Following a needs assessment, strategies based on protocols and consultations with partners and stakeholders will be piloted in order to evaluate their effectiveness for this particular group.
