Purpose: | This 24-month project will address institutional barriers and other factors that limit the efforts of mainland Nova Scotian communities to address the issue of cyberviolence against young women and girls. The project will engage young women to act as leaders to other youth through peer-led consultations to identify the issues of cyberviolence affecting young women and girls. Key stakeholders will collaboratively respond to the specific needs of young women and girls through the development of a strategy to prevent or eliminate cyberviolence. Young women will expand their understanding of the issues and, in partnership with community stakeholders, help carry out strategies to prevent this form of gender-based violence across the province. |
