Purpose: This 36-month project will build collaboration between community service providers and stakeholders across Canada to better respond to the needs of immigrant and newcomer girls, specifically relating to violence prevention. The project includes workshops and intergenerational mentorship activities aimed at identifying promising approaches to violence prevention in immigrant girls’ lives. These activities will inform the development of tools, including a literature review, promising practices guide and an online evaluation platform for wide dissemination to other stakeholders. The tools will be adaptable and transferable to different community programs and sectors across Canada and will support stakeholders in making improvements to their current programming and policies in order to better support immigrant and newcomer girls.
