| Purpose: | Plan Canada, YMCA GTA and YWCA Canada will work in partnership on the 24 month project' Strong Girls, Strong World' to implement ten young women / girl-led community projects across Canada. Young women/girls will be supported by PLAN Canada and its partners to take on leadership roles to address issues they have identified as a priority, design and carry out the projects, while engaging young men and stakeholders in creating positive changes in their community. The community projects will collaborate with each other and share best practices throughout their duration. At the end of the project, participants will share the lessons and results within their communities, at future International Day of the Girl events, or at other related events. |
