|Recipient Name:||Working Women Community Centre|
|Purpose:||This 24-month project will improve Toronto area immigrant womens economic prosperity by working to address employment barriers faced by foreign trained professionals, including newcomer mothers. In collaboration with Seneca College and employment partners, the project will examine barriers, as well as define the necessary success factors that support economic outcomes for immigrant women. Along with key partners, the project will develop and pilot a "Career Pathways" strategy and develop a long-term action plan to reduce systemic barriers experienced by immigrant women. Recommendations and best practices from the project will inform other service providers and programs across the country, providing a model for strengthening economic outcomes for women seeking employment and career advancement opportunities.|
