|Purpose:||This 36-month project will work to reduce the risk of homicides in cases of domestic violence in Quebecs Abitibi-Témiscamingue region. In collaboration with regional partners from womens shelters, the Crown prosecutors office, child protection services and Québec provincial police, the project will establish protocols, train local service providers in using a domestic homicide risk tool, and pilot and evaluate an initial crisis management unit. The project will be evaluated, results shared, and training made available to other interested regions.|
