Disclosure of Grant and Contribution Awards
|Recipient Name:||Ottawa Inuit Children's Centre|
|Purpose:||This 36-month project will improve the quality and access to services for Inuit women and girl victims of violence in Ottawa. In collaboration with service providers, the project will identify barriers that prevent Inuit women and girls to have access to services and will make recommendations to provide coordinated response services. The project will directly engage with the Ottawa police to develop and implement a culturally-specific protocol to improve services and reduce violence. Project results and tools developed will be shared with national Inuit organizations to replicate results with other service providers both regionally and nationally.|
