Disclosure of Grant and Contribution Awards
|Purpose:||This 36-month project will provide young women aged 18-25 with meaningful leadership opportunities to build the capacity of community organizations boards to implement gender based analysis (GBA) throughout their practices and policies. Young women will be provided with one-year assignments on community organizations boards and in consultation with their assigned board, will select a program or a policy within the organization that will be reviewed through a GBA lens. Through the project, volunteer boards and organizations will be engaged to consider gender equality when making decisions that are shaping their policies and programs, and a pool of organizations interested in improving their board diversity will be created. Best practices will be shared widely among volunteer organizations.|
