Disclosure of Grant and Contribution Awards
|Recipient Name:||First Nations of Quebec and Labrador Economic Development Commission|
|Purpose:||This 36-month project will seek to enable Indigenous women in Quebec to exercise stronger economic leadership within their communities. The project will mobilize existing and aspiring local First Nations business women to identify systemic barriers preventing women from accessing financing and business services. The organization will share information about these barriers with local economic development organizations and will work with them to adapt their procedures, programs, and policies to meet the needs of First Nations women. The project will also seek to engage elected women of the Assembly of First Nations of Quebec to advocate for the changes required to address the identified barriers.|
