Disclosure of Grant and Contribution Awards
|Recipient Name:||Rise Women's Legal Centre|
|Location:||Vancouver, British Columbia|
|Purpose:||This 36 month project will seek to increase womens access to appropriate legal services, particularly in a family law setting, in British Columbia. The organization will work with community partners, leaders in psychology and related fields, as well as women with lived experience of violence, to determine and implement promising practices in providing legal assistance to women who have experienced violence. Through research, community consultation, and implementation and evaluation, a strategic legal plan will be developed to streamline referrals between community organizations and communicate promising practices to students, community agencies and to government policy makers.|
