We are no longer accepting applications for Blueprint Projects. The deadline for applications was February 21, 2011.
Status of Women Canada launched the Blueprint Projects to help community-based organizations address its three priority issues: ending violence against women; increasing women's economic security and prosperity; and encouraging women's leadership and democratic participation. Projects fell into seven thematic areas:
- Increasing recruitment of women into non-traditional work;
- Retaining and promoting women in non-traditional and under-represented sectors;
- Increasing women's involvement as decision-makers in community-based organizations;
- Improving access to second-stage services for women who have experienced abuse;
- Using gender-based analysis to improve community safety;
- Engaging youth in preventing violence against women and girls; and
- Improving financial and growth opportunities for women business owners.
A total of 65 organizations were selected to receive Blueprint Project funding.
